Couric Leaving CBS After Elections?

By Mallory Groff,
Katie Couric is supposedly considering leaving the CBS Evening News after the elections end.

The topic of Katie Couric and how much longer she will be gracing CBS has been a hot topic the last few days. Couric left her Today show anchor spot and went to the CBS Evening News in 2005 after CBS promised to cater to her skills, which it seems they have not.

According to TMZ, Couric will not leave the CBS Evening News in two weeks like it has been rumored, but after the elections are over.

An anonymous source has revealed to Efluxmedia.com that Couric is irritated that CBS has not kept its promises. It is also rumored that CNN is showing interest in her to replace late night host Larry King. And interest has been shown to get Couric into daytime TV.

CBS is not ousting Couric, but will most likely support her in whatever she decides to do. Couric signed a five year deal worth $15 million a year and will be under contract with them until 2011.
