Matchbox Twenty Against Animal Mistreatment
13-Apr-2008
Written by: Claudine Paul

Matchbox Twenty takes a stand against the mistreatment of animals.

It's not just about the music, when it comes to rock band Matchbox Twenty.

The Alternative Press reports that the band has canceled its forthcoming summer performance in Wyoming's Cheyenne Frontier Days. They no longer wish to participate in the outdoor rodeo, in opposition to profiting from the mistreatment of animals. The band, on the other hand, will still keep its other scheduled performance at North Dakota's State Fair.

Matchbox Twenty, who has asked fans for their support, is currently touring in support of its compilation, Exile on Mainstream. With the release of this album, the band celebrates a music career spanning eleven years.
