Rob Lowe’s Case Continues

The actor speaks out on “Entertainment Tonight.”
Rob Lowe expressed his grief in his continuing court case with former nanny, Jessica Gibson.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lowe spoke publicly for the first time since the allegations were made, calling the ordeal “very sad.”
“We live in a time where anybody can say anything about anybody. The whole thing is very sad.”
The actor also revealed that his two sons, ages 12 and 14, have learned to understand the pitfalls of being a celebrity, confessing, “My boys understand that being a celebrity sometimes exposes you to some really bad stuff and sometimes you get a VIP tour of Disneyland. They are affected by it, but they're moving through it.”
However, despite the ordeal, Lowe admitted that he has learned a lot and gained fresh eyes, in spite of the circumstances. He expressed, “The support has been fantastic and really, really humbling.”
The actor and his wife are suing Gibson for spreading the alleged lies about them and claim that the former employee is merely seeking “hush money” from the wealthy family.
Lowe stated, “Now it's in the court system and potentially a criminal investigation.”
