Disney Star's Picture Used for Escort Service
Yet another Disney star is in the news this week. Only days after defending Miley Cyrus for leaked photographs, Disney's Brenda Song seems to be in some photo trouble of her own. Song, who is a regular on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, has filed a libel suit against an escort service for using a picture of her in an ad, without her permission.
Song's picture has been used in an ad for Cityvibe.com, a Web site looking to hook up men with some female escorts, in the L.A. Weekly and possible other places. The company used her photo with the caption, "Laya: Hawaiin [sic] beauty. Come get lei'd."
The 20-year-old released a statement saying, "As a role model to millions of young people, I feel I have to take a stand against this company in regard to its exploitation of my image. In filing this lawsuit, I hope to prevent this company from doing this again to anyone else."
Cityvibe.com and its parent company, Vibe Media Inc., have not responded to Song's claim. Song is suing for $100,000 in damages.
