Disney Star Gets Risque

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus takes risque photos for "Vanity Fair," but can she handle the consequences?

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus, from the hit TV series, Hannah Montana, is currently undergoing the same situation that other celebrities have had to face in the past, with a risque photo where she is seen topless and only covered with a sheet. This photo, however, is not the typical, amateur snapshot, but one that is the handiwork of Annie Leibovitz, a renowned celebrity photographer. The picture will be appearing in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair. "I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus admits in a statement made through her publicist. "I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted," Leibovitz claimed in a recent statement made through Vanity Fair. "Miley and I looked at fashion photographs before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful." In the magazine article accompanying the photo, Miley discusses the photo and says, "Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought it was really cool. That's what she wanted me to do, and you can't say no to Annie." The teenage star states, "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about." Could this be a block in the road for Cyrus?
