Stars Speak Out over Miley Cyrus's "Vanity Fair" Photos
Stars are speaking out on the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo spread controversy. Former Disney good-girl Hilary Duff (also Cyrus's role model) said at a press event for her new movie, War, Inc., "Everyone goes through things and takes their own path. Who am I to judge decisions that she made?"
Duff tells People that she has kept her good-girl image through her support network. She claimed she would have not participated in the shoot, but knows it was Cyrus's personal choice. People readers polled the photos to be inappropriate, and Cyrus and photographer Annie Leibovitz have both publicly apologized for the shots.
Another star to speak out on the photo controversy, TV personality Rosie O'Donnell. O'Donnell posted a video Monday night telling the media, "Leave Miley Cyrus alone," and on Leibovitz, "You kind of do what she says. It's intimidating. I also didn't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was sort of a beautiful portrait."
