It's Confirmed: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Married

Just days after rumors of an engagement, R&B singers Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have now tied the knot.

Linda Cannon, Nick's family member, confirmed the nuptial news to E! News, saying, "Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him."

She would not confirm, however, any details like the Latina Magazine story that the two wed on Wednesday on an island. The magazine's source said that the wedding was impulsive and that rapper Da Brat was one of the guests.

The New York Post is reporting that the ceremony took place at the 39-year-old "Touch My Body" singer's new home in the Bahamas. The paper also claims that the two did not sign a prenup because of how quickly it happened.

This is the 27-year-old Wild 'N Out host's first marriage and Carey's second. She was married to record exec Tommy Mottola for five years, before splitting in 1998. Cannon was engaged to "Victoria's Secret" model Selita Ebanks last year, but the couple split in October. Carey and Cannon started dating last month after he directed her latest video, "Bye Bye."
