Men in Trees Cancelled
ABC's Men in Trees has been cancelled, according to TVGuide.com's Michael Ausiello, in a move that is being chalked up to a time-slot mistake made by the network.
The news of the series' cancellation was confirmed to Ausiello by Jenny Bicks, who says that the decision was made in the latter part of last week. She goes on to thank the fans and tell Ausiello that she is truly proud of the great work everyone involved did on the show.
The time-slot mistake discussed by Ausiello and Bicks refers to the fact that ABC moved Trees six times and put it on two long hiatuses during its two year run.
"No show could survive that," Bicks said.
But news is not all bad with the show's demise, because Trees, starring Anne Heche, shot what is being called a satisfying ending to the show, in preparation that it might receive the axe from ABC.
The show's final run of episodes begins Wednesday, May 28.
