Britney and Kevin’s New Custody Hearing

Britney Spears and ex-hubby Kevin Federline were scheduled for a progressive hearing Tuesday morning at a Los Angeles family court. The hearing is to see if Britney’s custody rights of her two boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, will change.
EFluxMedia wrote that currently, Spears has “monitored visitation rights” of her sons, but no overnight visits are allowed. This has been for nearly three months, partly because of Spears’s often-displayed, unpredictable behavior.
Spears has been staying relatively low on the media radar ever since she got admitted into UCLA Medical Center’s psychiatric ward in January. When she was released in late February, her father took conservatorship of the 26-year-old pop star—which may not be a good thing for the hearing. An L.A. family lawyer who’s not involved with the Spears case was quoted on People.com: “As long as Britney remains under a conservatorship, she has a long way to go before the court views her as a capable mother.”
Because of the conservatorship, Spears has been spending time with her family and focusing on getting her career on track. She recently attended her sister, Jamie Lynn’s, baby shower in Kentwood, Louisiana. She’s also been filming her much talked about second appearance on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother. The Associated Press has also reported she took on full-time nutrition and fitness coaches from Bally Total Fitness to regain her once-flawless figure.
