Britney Spears Wins More Visitation Rights
6-May-2008
Written by: Ivana Cheong

The court has decided Tuesday to allow Britney Spears to spend more time with her sons. TMZ has reported that while the ex, Kevin Federline, remains to have full custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, Spears has acquired three days per week of supervised visitation, along with being able to spend time with the boys this Sunday for Mother’s Day.

Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, acknowledged that the court sees Spears’s progress every day, and that’s why they granted the rights. “The children are doing great—that’s the key,” Kaplan said. “It is a cautious step—but a step nonetheless.”

Spears and her parents, who also attended the hearing, left the courtroom in smiles. “We are so pleased with Britney's progress, and we are appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress,” the parents, Jamie and Lynne said. L.A. Times’s The Envelope reported that when asked if Spears was happy with the outcome, her attorney, Stacy Phillips, gave a smile and a thumbs-up.
