Newlywed Mariah Carey has some new bling on her finger.
When the newly weds, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon attended TIME magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” gala, Carey showed off her brilliant pink diamond sparkler to the world. According to PEOPLE, the 17-carat ring made by Jacob and Co. jewelers is valued at a monstrous $2.5 million, with a core stone that is 10-carats alone.
"I wanted to do something extremely special, something that Mariah would really appreciate," Cannon tells PEOPLE. "We got the pinkest stone we could find, enclosed by other diamonds.” The fancy emerald-cut light pink center stone is bordered by 58 intense pink diamonds, which are flanked by half-moon diamonds. “It’s so clear, you can see my finger through it," Carey exclaimed, giving a big sign of approval.
Jacob of Jacob & Co., tells that when it came to deciding on the ring, Cannon “was very involved.” Arabo said, "The way he came into the store, I knew this was very serious," and "He said, 'Jacob, I’m in love. This is what I want to do.'"
