Hulk Hogan's Son Sentenced to Jail
Hulk Hogan's son, Nick Bollea, was sentenced to eight months in jail after pleading no contest for reckless driving.
Bollea was arrested last November for reckless driving after being involved in a crash in August. According to an eyewitness, the 17-year-old was seen drag racing with a friend, speeding up to and beyond 100 mph. Bollea later crashed into a palm tree and was found to have alcohol in his bloodstream. Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, was seriously injured, and could end up in a nursing home for life, reports UsMagazine.com.
In the court hearing, Graziano's father read the statement, "My life now consists of 10 hours each day at a hospital watching my son suffer," adding, "Nick has shown no remorse for what he's done for my son."
In response to the charges, the judge claimed, "I believe there is a sincere desire, a sincere apology, to change things, [but] there are consequences for what you do in these circumstances. There has to be some punishment."
Bollea was given five years probation, five hundred hours of community service and a three-year drivers license revocation, in addition to his eight-month jail time.
His next court hearing will take place on November 11.
