Winning Big in Poker
12-May-2008
Written by:
It started like any Poker session: unpredictably. I had to sit through a couple of hands until the dealer handed me a pair of lucky 7s. But when someone dropped 200 chips on the ante, I had to determine if they were bluffing or had a higher pair. Unfortunately, I was playing Online Poker so I couldn't see if any body language was giving them away. But I felt good about my 7s, so I called the bet. A pair of 4s came on the flop, so I was still feeling okay. The bets, though, kept going up. But I had been playing Poker long enough to determine when someone was actually playing a strong hand or who was bluffing, and the way these chips were coming in, I knew people were lying. I hung tough and, to my pleasant surprise, another 7 came on the river. I was all in, and when it was time to call, I had a new $6,000 in my pocket. It doesn't always turn out that way, but I was glad I didn't miss out playing Poker Online last night. Playing poker on the Internet is amazingly easy and surprisingly fun. The computer does all the math for you, and you get to meet players from all over the world. Plus, the online casino is safe. The latest in server technology keeps your credit card information protected from spyware, so the only thing you have to worry about is if that Ace in the flop means anything to anyone else. But what I really like is that playing Poker on the Internet is convenient. I can play Texas Hold 'Em whenever I want, and in today's Wi-Fi world I can play wherever I can take a laptop. So if you like to play poker as much as I do, ante up at the virtual casino. You'll have a great time, and that's a sure bet.
