FOX plans to have some new shows this fall from the guy who brought us “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” as well as the producer of “Lost.”
FOX has announced that it plans to add two more shows to its fall schedule. Today the broadcast network announced that it planned to add one show that’s a science-fiction thriller by the same producer that brought us Lost, while also bringing in a workplace comedy that is replacing the cancelled Back to You, reported Reuters.
The thriller, Fringe, produced by J. J. Abrams, is a new drama about passengers from an airplane flight who meet untimely ends, reported the Associated Press. The new sci-fi will end up on the same schedule, on Tuesdays, with House in the fall, and American Idol in the spring. The comedy, Do Not Disturb, is set in a trendy hotel in Manhattan, starring Jerry O’Connell, according to Reuters.
The new thriller is set to have big publicity from the guy who brought us Alias and Felicity. Of the new show, President Kevin Reilly said to Reuters, “There are high expectations for this, the guy delivers on those expectations.”
Also set for the fall season are at least four new additions. Another game show entitled Secret Millionare and two new animated comedies, The Cleveland Show and Sit Down, Shut Up. Another anticipated show to come is from the same guy who brought us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, an action drama entitled Dollhouse.
