Woolard Speaks on Role in Upcoming Film Based on Notorious B.I.G.’s Life

Jamal Woolard ready to take on challenge of playing The Notorious B.I.G.
Set to play the role of hip-hop icon, the late Notorious B.I.G., in the upcoming film documenting his life, Jamal Woolard is greatly anticipating the challenge.
The film is expected to show a different side of Christopher Wallace that many people never got the chance to see.
Woolard explained how he is going to attempt to hit on all aspects of his personality by stating, “We’re targeting every corner of it – from Christopher to Biggie Smalls to Notorious B.I.G., he’s a funny dude. That’s the part in the film that you’ll see. He’s a comedian all the time.”
Other cast members joining Woolard in the creation of the film include Derek Luke, playing Diddy, and Naturi Naughton, playing the role of Lil’ Kim. Naughton, who, as a member of the girl group 3LW in the late ‘90s and early portion of this decade, portrayed a very innocent image, is not afraid of taking on the challenge of playing Lil’ Kim’s role. Naughton said in response to that image, “They think, ‘Oh, she’s sweet. She’s little. She’s a little girl from 3LW.’ I’m a grown woman now. Things have changed.”
