Democratic Candidate Obama Bashes Republican Candidate McCain
Republican presidential candidate John McCain has criticized Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama frequently over national security and the war in Iraq, claiming he is misinformed about the whole situation. Obama finally lashed back today, bashing McCain for his economic policies during a speech given Tuesday in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Foon Rhee of Boston.com.
Obama went on the attack during the speech, saying, "Here in Nevada, the foreclosure rate is over three and a half times the national average. As so many Americans walk away from their homes, millions more have seen their home values plunge, which only puts our economy into a deeper hole." The Democratic candidate went on to describe part of his plan to correct the current economic problems in regards to housing.
According to Rhee, Obama spoke of his plan to implement a $10 billion fund that would be utilized to aid homeowners. The Democratic candidate also mentioned a plan to create a new and improved Federal Housing Administration, which Obama explained would lead to more stability and length in mortgages of houses.
