American Idol winner David Cook told Regis and Kelly he went on a date with a former contestant, Kimberly Caldwell.
The newest American Idol winner, rocker David Cook, 25, who defeated the younger David (Archuleta) this season, told Live with Regis and Kelly on Tuesday that he is sticking close to his Idol roots, by dating a former contestant.
Cook said that he and former contestant Kimberly Caldwell met on the show, and recently went on a date. When asked about the date, Cook replied, "I did [have a good time]. We'll probably hang out again. So we'll see." Caldwell, 26, appeared on the second season of Idol, according to the Associated Press. She has not commented on the date, so for now, American Idol fans are just waiting for the two to pair up.
