Lohan’s Parents Go Back to Court
3-Jun-2008
Written by: Marshall Burns
Lindsay Lohan’s parents went back to court today over the custody of their two children.
A year after Lindsay Lohan’s parents settled their divorce, they have found their way back to the courtroom on Tuesday over custody issues, reported the Associated Press. Michael Lohan complained that Dina, his ex-wife, was not living up to the agreement from court for their two youngest children, Ali, 14, and Dakota, 11.
Apparently, Mr. Lohan is not being allowed to visit his children, according to his attorney, John DiMascio, Jr. Much of the discussion is currently only taking place in the judge’s chambers.
Lindsay Lohan, who is now 21 and no longer in their custody, is not involved with the case and neither is her brother Michael, 19. The parents are not new to the spotlight either since her mother has her own reality TV show on E! and Michael Lohan writes a blog for OK! magazine, reported AP.
Neither of the parents, however, are choosing to say anything to reporters as their case is being reviewed. “There won’t be any more comments from Dina and I,” Michael Lohan said to reporters outside the Nassau County Family Court building. The judge, Stacy Bennett has scheduled a follow-up court session for July 14 and indicated that she was pleased the two sides are shooting for a settlement, said AP. “I am encouraged to hear that the parties and counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and the father,” she told AP.
