The Lohans Continued Court Battles

The parents fight over custody rights.
Michael and Dina Lohan appeared in a Nassau County, N.Y. courthouse Tuesday to further discuss the legality of their children, particularly Ali, 14, and Cody, 11.
According to E!, Michael Lohan complained that his ex-wife is not living up to previous custody agreements. Alongside his attorney, he addressed the court saying that he hasn’t seen a lot of his kids, partly because they’re too busy costarring their mother in E!’s Living Lohan.
“[Dina]'s missed 19 out of 31 appointments I had with my kids,” Michael Lohan said. “Now, I'm giving her one last chance to let me see them one day a week, on my own, and to go to therapy with them one day a week. If not, we'll drag this through court again.”
Calling his former lady a “diva” since the TV deal, he added, “When the time comes, she always has an excuse, and I am tired of it. I won't put up with it any more. My kids haven't even seen my family in too long.”
In the end of the private, closed-door court sessions, there seemed to be progress among the two. The Family Court Judge Stacy Bennett said, “I'm encouraged that the parties and counsel are working at ways to repair the relationship between the children and the father.”
The resulting agreement is that Dina Lohan continues to hold physical custody of the two teenagers, while her ex-husband is granted more visitation rights.
Since Lindsay is 21 and the other son, Michael, 19, they were not included or involved in the matters.
Michael and Dina also decided to stop making public statements concerning their family for “the children’s sake,” says E!.
A spokesperson said, “Both the parties want the press to know they love their children very much. They want the press to stay out of their lives. They are doing what's in the best interests of the children and they would appreciate that they are allowed to participate in their children's lives without the press.”
