Steve-O Avoids Jail Time, Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Possession
Stephen Glover, known in the entertainment world as Steve-O from MTV's Wildboyz and Jackass programs, pleaded guilty to cocaine possession on Tuesday, according to Diane Smith of eFlux Media. The television star will not have to go to prison due to his guilty plea, but will be placed in a two-year rehabilitation program.
Once Glover completes the rehabilitation program, the case that stems from a March 3 altercation with a neighbor that resulted in his arrest for drug possession and vandalism will be dismissed. Glover wrote in his blog that former Jackass costar and current MTV television personality, Johnny Knoxville, went to Glover's Hollywood home and forced him to seek medical assistance for his drug habits, according to Smith.
Glover has been involved in controversial incidents frequently over the past few years. According to Smith, he was forced to pay 45,000 Kronor in Sweden as a result of smuggling marijuana into the country by inserting it inside of a condom in 2003. As part of the plea bargain, Glover admitted to smuggling five grams of marijuana and an ecstasy pill into the country. Glover infamously appeared on Too Late with Adam Carolla heavily intoxicated in 2005, screaming obscenities and breaking a glass table, which resulted in a leg laceration. Steve-O has also been guilty of public urination at Lollapalooza as well as at an Oscar party.
