Oprah Winfrey Happy Over Obama’s Nomination
5-Jun-2008

Winfrey’s support of Obama has paid off.
Queen of the talk shows Oprah Winfrey is ecstatic that Barack Obama has won the Democratic U.S. presidential nomination, WENN reports.
Winfrey stirred controversy with her endorsement of Obama’s campaign, particularly among those of her viewers who supported Senator Hillary Clinton. The host also accompanied Obama on a campaign tour of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
It seems that Winfrey’s support may have paid off in the long run.
“I'm euphoric, I've been doing the happy dance all day,” Winfrey raved on the news of Obama securing the nomination.
The Illinois senator will face off with Republican John McCain in the November presidential elections, and Winfrey, like many of Obama’s supporters, is looking forward to the possibility of bringing about change.
“I'm so proud of Barack and Michelle and what this means for all of us ... the new possibilities for our country. And if he wants me to, I'm ready to go door to door,” Winfrey praised.
