McCain Targets Michigan to Vote Republican in Election
Republican presidential candidate John McCain has significantly changed his tune in regards to his approach to addressing the state of Michigan, according to Heidi Przybyla of Bloomberg.
Back in January, McCain appeared pessimistic about the employment situation in the state, telling the people in a speech that they should not expect some of the jobs that they have lost to be coming back anytime soon.
However, Przybyla is reporting that the McCain campaign is trying to sound optimistic in its current approach, notifying the people of Michigan that despite the fact that some of their old jobs will not be returning, new jobs are on the way.
The reason why McCain has changed his original approach is because the Republican candidate appears to now realize the significance of the state's electoral votes in the upcoming election. McCain's campaign believes that Michigan is the one state that voted for a Democratic nominee in the 2004 election that they have the best chance of convincing to vote Republican this year, according to Przybyla.
