Supporters Pay Hefty Price to Attend McCain Fundraiser Thursday

Attendees have to pay $2,300 at fundraiser in order to attend.

Republican candidate John McCain is charging all supporters that attend today's fundraiser in Orlando, Florida $2,300, which will go towards his general election in an attempt to raise money for his upcoming presidential campaign. The fundraiser is being held on Universal Boulevard at Rosen Shingle Creek, according to WFTV. The Republican candidate is set to make an appearance at Walt Disney World Hilton later on Thursday where he will speak with newspaper editors and reporters in Florida.

Though Obama has fundraised nearly triple the amount that McCain has since January of this year, the Democratic candidate has spent significantly more than the Republican candidate in recent months, according to WFTV.

Another positive sign for McCain is that the Republican National Convention has fundraised approximately $35 million more than the Democratic National Convention. WFTV is reporting that Florida has contributed the third most amount of money in the nation, behind only California and New York, to presidential campaigns.
