“Grey’s Anatomy” Star Defends Dating Choice

Age is not an issue for T.R. Knight.
T. R. Knight of Grey’s Anatomy defends his choice to date a much younger man, WENN reports.
Knight, 35, has been dating Mark Cornelson since February. Cornelson is 16 years his junior, but Knight claims, “We love each other.”
From day one, the age difference in their relationship has made news. Knight does not worry, however, as he feels their relationship is special. “It's bound to raise some eyebrows but we love each other. He is an amazing guy. I love being around him. I love what we have,” he defends.
While Knight admits that since they have only known each other for six months, it is a bit early to talk about the future, he believes their relationship is ready for the long haul. “We've only known each other for six months, so I think it's a little soon to consider marriage. I don't think you date anyone that you don't see a future with.”
The star made bigger headlines in 2006 when he came out as gay, publicly. This caused a rift between him and former costar Isaiah Washington, and it is speculated, eventually led to Washington’s firing.
