Shania Twain Has a "Broken Heart"

Country music star shares pain of separation from husband with fans through her Web site.

As reported by FOXNEWS.com, country music star Shania Twain has a "broken heart" after splitting from her husband, music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, after 14 years of marriage, she told fans in a message posted on her Web site, Shaniatwain.com, on Thursday.

"As I am sure you have seen or heard; I am going through a rough time personally in my life," the country singer writes. "I wanted you all to know that I could not be getting through this without you. Your letters, emails and words of encouragement give me strength. Your overwhelming support reminds me to smile, no matter how deep the pain and to always be grateful for all the beautiful blessings in my life."

Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, publicly announced their separation last month. Sources told People magazine that Lange's relationship with another woman, Twain's close friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, 37, was the reason behind the split. Both Lange and Thiebaud have denied an affair.

"I have so much to say but I know the best way for me to speak is through my music," continued Twain on the Web site. "This is my therapy, my passion, and my love. I look forward to sharing it with all of you as I begin this new journey.

"I need some time to heal this broken heart but make no mistake; I will be back and hopefully stronger than ever. Thank you my friends, from the bottom of my heart."

Twain, who married Lange in 1993, is best known for her hits "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and "You're Still the One." Lange produced three of Twain's albums: 1995's The Woman in Me, 1997's Come on Over and 2002's Up!
