Alanis Morissette Has Nothing but Good Words for Ex-Fiance, Ryan Reynolds
Although she became famous for being angry, singer Alanis Morissette wishes nothing but happiness for her ex-fiance, Ryan Reynolds, and his new fiancee, Scarlett Johansson. She told Newsweek, "I'm really happy for him." Morissette broke off her engagement to Reynolds in 2007. Ironically, Johansson's first album is due to release the same day as Flavors of Entanglement, Morissette's new album, but she still remains calm, saying, "I wasn't even aware of what the dates were."
When asked where the Jagged Little Pill anger that started her career has gone, Morissette told Newsweek, "I think anger is an incredible life force, and I'm proud of my own anger. I'd been repressing for a long time . . . a lot was squashed down and all of a sudden I had this freedom to write whatever I wanted, so of course this was going to come out." There's our girl.
