Taylor Swift to Join Miley Cyrus on the Big Screen

According to People, 18-year-old country singer Taylor Swift is set to make a cameo appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie, with Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. The singer told People, "I'm playing one of my own songs and just in the background of one of the scenes. . . . I'm just like the bar band, which is kinda fun." Swift is one of country's newest stars, but is still excited to be sharing the spotlight with another star. "I'm just really excited about it because it's really cool when some of my little fans will come up with a Hannah Montana shirt on, and I want to be like, 'Guess what? I get to be in that movie with her!'"

Despite her numerous photo scandals all over the Internet, Taylor Swift did not have anything bad to say about Disney star Miley Cyrus. She said on the Today show, "Miley Cyrus is awesome. I love her so much. She is so incredibly funny and sweet."

People reported that the country band Rascal Flatts will also appear in the movie, which is set to release in 2009.
