Haylie Duff hosts the MTV reality show searching for the next Elle Woods.
Haylie Duff, who starred on Broadway in Hairspray, and is the sister of singer Hilary Duff, is hosting the new television show, Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods, which airs on MTV Monday nights. The show is searching for a girl to take over the role of Elle Woods on Broadway, as Laura Bell Bundy, the former Elle Woods, departs from the musical. Duff told ET of her role on the show, I visit them at their lofts and talk to them about the pressure of the show and what to expect going into a show like this. . . . According to the Insider, this show is unlike many other reality shows that search for talent, in that America will not have the chance to vote. Duff said to ET, In this [show] the decision is left up to the people who really make the decision in real life. The real casting director for this show, the real director, the writer and a cast member.
Duff also added that she does not have an album releasing in 2008, as many had speculated. I have no idea where that comes from. Everybody has been asking me about that. I have no idea what that is.
