New Morissette Album has Passion
Morissette gained tons of fans and success in the mid-'90s, but lately her songs have been missing the raw emotion of the mid-'90s hits, especially those similar to the hugely popular "You Oughta Know." And she has not had as much success.
However, her new album takes her fans and occasional listeners back to when they really loved her. According to edition.cnn.com, Entanglement contains the same type of passion of her old material that people adored, while her lyrical style remains the same.
The fuel behind her rediscovery is her highly public breakup with her once fiance, Ryan Reynolds. Like before, her life and all its ordeals determined the focus of all the songs. Also, the album features a song that is vocals accompanied by a piano, "Not As We," which is highly emotional from its stripped, broken, and fragile details.
