Obama Campaign States There Are Currently 20 V.P. Candidates
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign is considering certain former military leaders to be his running mate in the upcoming general election, according to the Associated Press.
According to AGI News, the campaign is also looking at prospects who are former members of Congress as well as those that currently hold high positions.
The reports that Obama is considering asking a former military leader to be his Vice President indicate he may potentially decide to use this tactic in an attempt to decrease the level of concern over his lack of experience in the field of foreign policy.
The announcement that Obama now has a list of 20 candidates for the Vice Presidency, according to AGI News, comes after a meeting that took place yesterday with two of the three individuals the Democratic candidate put in charge of this process. The other candidate, Caroline Kennedy, is the daughter of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States.
