Daniel Craig Injures Hand While Filming New "Bond" Movie

Craig suffered minor injury to hand but was "back on set in a matter of hours."

James Bond star Daniel Craig sustained a minor injury to his hand while filming the next installment of the Bond movies, Quantum of Solace, and was sent to the hospital for medical attention, reported CNN.com.

The film was being filmed at Pinewood Studios near London.

Steve Elzer, spokesman for the Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group, stated, "There was a minor incident on set, Daniel injured his hand. He sought medical attention. He was back on the set within a matter of hours and production went on."

Reportedly, stuntmen have also suffered injuries during filming. Bond films are famous for their fast-paced action scenes so injuries would not come as a surprise.

In Quantum of Solace, Craig reprises his role as "Bond" in succession of Casino Royale, the latest and highest grossing film in the series to date.

Working alongside Craig are French actor Mathieu Almaric who plays Bond's foe, and Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko who plays Bond's love interest.
