McCain Schedules Virtual Town Hall for Saturday
Republican presidential candidate John McCain's campaign is scheduling what they are referring to as a virtual town hall for this Saturday, according to Boston.com. The event has been scheduled in an attempt to have McCain appeal to supporters of former Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton as well as various independent voters.
The event is slated to feature McCain as well as a person who is widely regarded as one of his most vocal and most prominent female supporters, Carly Fiorina. The former CEO of the Hewlett-Packard company, Fiorina said of McCain in a video that has been submitted at Boston.com as well as YouTube, "He treats everyone with respect."
McCain's ability or inability to appeal to female voters in the coming months will play a significant role in his fate during the upcoming general election. Several women's groups have expressed their disagreement with McCain's policies on abortion rights as well as his record on women's issues, according to Boston.com.
