Tila Tequila Believes She is Responsible for Legalization of Gay Marriage

Star of MTV's reality program Shot at Love, model and singer Tila Tequila told Us Weekly, on Wednesday, that she believes the historic movement of the legalization of gay marriage in California is because of her. Tequila currently stars in MTV's reality show that features her searching for the love of her life while having to choose between men and women who battle it out for her affection.

The bisexual star is quoted by Access Hollywood as telling Us Weekly, yesterday, "It is because of me. I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement." Tequila was known strictly as a model before the spotlight shined on her as the star of her own reality show.

Tequila went on to tell reporters at The Love Guru premiere, "Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships]. Then they realized, 'Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.' The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal."
