Mama Spears's Memoirs

Lynne Spears, the mother of Britney, has reportedly been writing a memoir about the "dark period of Britney's life-from a mother's eyes" for over a year, according to a rep for her publishing company. However, we will have to wait for the arrival of her book, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, since the mother went on hiatus, in order to deal with the issues currently occurring in the Spears household. It seems that now, the book, which was set for a fall release, will come out even later than expected.

With Britney having a meltdown, shaving her head and hitting a car with an umbrella, and little Jamie Lynn getting pregnant, Lynne has her hands full. According to the Los Angeles Times, Lynne's rep told Us Weekly, "I can't write a book right now. I've got to take care of my family."

According to a spokesman, "Spears's manuscript will not be a parenting book. It's her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It's a memoir."
