Fairmount, Ind. Regains James Dean Gallery
14-Jun-2008
Written by: Marie J. Pellegrino
A James Dean Gallery returns to the town where he grew up.
David Loehr is the owner of a James Dean gallery with rare memorabilia and will be moving the gallery back to where it was originally, in Fairmount, Indiana, where the famous actor grew up. It was moved to Gas City and then Auburn for a few years.
The reason for the move away from Dean’s hometown was an electrical fire. The gallery features portraits, hometown artifacts, magazines, other collectibles, and more.
James Dean is the long-remembered actor for his roles in East of Eden, Giant, and Rebel Without a Cause. He died at a young age from a car accident.
Loehr states, “James Dean will never die culturally. . . . There will always be fans.”
