The New 007 Girl
The British singing sensation, Leona Lewis, has allegedly triumphed over "Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse as the singer of the theme of the new James Bond movie which will be titled Quantum Of Solace.
According to NME, Amy Winehouse was the original choice for the theme song and did a bit of work on the track with her producer, Mark Ronson, but the singer could not get her act together in time. Thus, the sessions reportedly led to little or no progress, which prompted the producer to comment, "I'm not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet." Although Winehouse confirmed that she had actually finished and completed the track, her spokesperson informed the press that her version of the song is "unlikely" to be used.
With Winehouse out of the picture, who better to fill the shoes of the 007 theme song singer than the "Bleeding Love" hitmaker, Leona Lewis. The Sun tells a source, "She is seen as one of the few candidates who has the right profile both sides of the pond to do it."
