Advisors for McCain Attack Obama for "Sept. 10" State of Mind
With foreign policy clearly being one of the most important issues of the upcoming general election, Fox News is reporting that advisors of Republican presidential nominee John McCain accused his opponent, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, of possessing a "September 10th" mindset.
Randy Scheunemann, McCain's senior advisor of foreign policy, gave a statement to the media explaining the viewpoint of McCain's advisors in regard to Obama's take on foreign policy and terrorism.
Scheunemann said, "Senator Obama is a perfect manifestation of a September 10th mindset. He brings the attitude, the failures of judgment, the weakness and the misunderstanding of the nature of our adversary and the dangers posed by them to a series of policy positions."
The backlash against the Democratic nominee arose earlier today over his comments about the bombers of the World Trade Center back in 1993, according to Fox News. Obama's statement appeared to imply that he believes the terrorists from 15 years ago were prosecuted correctly within the guidelines of the Constitution.
According to Fox News, McCain showed his strong disagreement with his opponent's opinion on Tuesday, illustrating his belief that terrorists should not be treated the same as regular criminals.
