Spears's Pussycat Dolls Video Cameo Cut

The embattled singer has experienced a career resurgence in recent months.

Part of the resurgence of Britney Spears's career was supposed to be making an appearance in the new Pussycat Dolls' video. But unfortunately for Spears and the fans of both artists, Spears's cameo in the video was left on the cutting room floor, and will not be released.

No reason has yet been given for the cut of her "blink and you'll miss it" scene, as it was referred to by NME, for the song, "When I Grow Up." Spears did the shoot on June 4 in Los Angeles.

According to MTV.com, the Dolls did not address the exclusion of Spears in the video while the group appeared on Pete Wentz's MTV show, F'n MTV. A spokesperson for the group was also unreachable.

Spears's return to video would have followed her return to television, of course appearing in two episodes of How I Met Your Mother. Spears's performance on the show was so well-regarded, she is now being discussed for an Emmy.
