Humanitarian Angelina Jolies records a public service announcement to commemorate refugees worldwide.

Philanthropist Angelina Jolie is at it again. The actress appears in a public service announcement aiming to raise awareness for World Refugee Day this Friday June 20.

Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations Refugee Agency since 2001 states during the commercial, "They have survived war, they have survived displacement, they have survived rape, they have survived hunger and disease. For those who have survived and for those who did not, we are thinking of you on this day."

Jolie is also writing article to appear in a major U.S. newspaper to re-emphasize Friday’s occasion.

As reported by PEOPLE.com, the PSA will begin airing on YouTube, Facebook and on the UNHCR home page Wednesday morning. On the UNHCR website Jolie is quoted “Refugees have done more for my heart and my spirit than I can ever express in words. They've changed my life with their friendship, love, courage and loyalty.”

Jolie is renowned for her interest in adopting children from overseas. She adopted Maddox, 6, in 2002 after visiting Cambodia, then adopted Zahara, 3, who was born in Ethiopia.

To date, Jolie has one biological child, Shiloh, 2. Jolie is currently pregnant and is set to give birth this year with partner Brad Pitt.
