Democratic Nominee to Meet With Foreign Policy Panel

Obama scheduled to meet with national security group about foreign policy issues

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has made an announcement that will address his lack of experience in the field of foreign policy. The presidential nominee has named former U.S. officials to his foreign policy panel and he expects to meet with them later today in order to discuss various issues.

Obama also mentioned the possibility of electing the members of his panel to fill positions in the Cabinet if he ends up winning the general election, according to Reuters.

The Democratic nominee named such prominent names as former Defense Secretary William Perry and former Secretary of State's Madeleine Albright and Warren Christopher to his group of advisors, according to Reuters.

Obama's decision to add such experienced figures to his group of advisors is expected to help the public perception of his foreign policies. The Democratic nominee announced that he will meet with his advisors regularly throughout the coming weeks leading up to the general election.
