Thalia Releases New Album, “Lunada”

The wife of music executive and former husband of Mariah Carey, Tommy Mottola, is releasing her new album next week, according to AP.
The new mother – her daughter, Sabrina Sauke, was born eight months ago – worked with music greats Emilio Estefan, Juan Gabriel and Nano Cabrera on Lunada, as per AP. The new album includes songs “Ten Pacienca (Have Patience)” and “Bendita (Blessed).”
The news agency quotes the songstress as saying, “So I began to think to myself, ‘Hey! What was that song I liked last summer in Argentina? “Sangre Caliente” (“Hot blood”)!’ And when I went with my friends to (the Mexican beach resort of) Ixtapa, which one was it? That's right! The one by Juan Gabriel!’ . . . That's how Lunada was born.”
The singer has sold more than 12 million albums and is known for such hits as “Piel Morena (Brown Skin)” and “Amor a la Mexicana (Love Mexican Style),” says AP.
