Sheen Apologizes for Vicious Voicemail
The personal battles that are becoming prevalent between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen make the controversies surrounding Britney Spears and Kevin Federline seem relatively tepid.
The volatile pair, who have since divorced, made the news once again when a voicemail sent by Sheen to Richards was discovered; the message contained use of the N-word when speaking to his ex-wife.
According to Fox News, Sheen, the current star of Two and a Half Men, expressed regret over his choice of speech, mentioning that Tony Todd, an African-American, was the best man at his prior two weddings.
Sheen continued by mentioning that his reason for the anger shown in the voice message still manages to make itself known, noting that his children failed to show up for their custodial visit.
Since Sheen and Richards's divorce in 2005, they have been involved in a custody battle over their two girls, Sam and Lola. The dispute reached a tipping point when Sheen unsuccessfully tried to use the courts to prevent their children from being on Denise's reality show, It's Complicated.
Sheen has since remarried to Brooke Mueller, while Richards is still single. According to Fox News, she has made it clear that she would rather forgo the dating procedures and focus on building a mutual relationship. To her, the idea of dating makes her uncomfortable.
As most successful relationships begin through the dating process, it appears Richards would have to find a way to rise above her nerves and discomfort; otherwise, she will be single for quite a while.
