Bana may be the next James Bond

Producers want a young leading man for the role of 007.
Since Pierce Brosnan announced he would not play James Bond in the next film in the series, there's been a lot of speculation about who the next Bond will be. The latest rumor is that Australian star Eric Bana is currently in negotiations for the role of the sexy spy. The 35-year-old actor first got the attention of American audiences in The Hulk, but he really made his mark playing opposite Brad Pitt in Troy.
Though Bana is now considered the favorite for the part, other actors in the running have included Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Clive Owen, Heath Ledger, and Orlando Bloom. Apparently, the 007 producers want to update the series by casting a younger, modern star in the 21st installment. Filming is scheduled to begin later this year.
