Wedding Dress Made Out of Toilet Paper
20-Jun-2008
Written by: Marie J. Pellegrino

A contest was held for the best wedding gown made from toilet paper.

A dressmaker, Katrina Chalifoux, of Rockford, Ill., won a $1,000 prize for her dress in a contest about making wedding gowns from toilet paper.

Chalifoux was announced the winner of Cheap and Chic Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Thursday at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Times Square. The judges were representatives of Ripley’s, Charmin, and Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com.

Chalifoux created intricate designs on her dress, especially on the bodice, with toilet paper, glue, and packing tape. She made it look like real fabric, which was the real challenge. Her dress along with the other top two will be on display at Ripley’s locations around the world for the next year, according to NY Daily News. Let’s just hope they don’t rip.
