Tyra Banks Thankful to Oprah

Banks one of many winners at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Model and talk show host Tyra Banks, who won a Daytime Emmy Award at last night’s ceremony, dedicated her win to icon Oprah Winfrey, WENN reports.
Banks won the award in the Informative category for Outstanding Talking Show. While grateful to Winfrey – whom she called her “inspiration” – in her speech, Banks ironically beat out the television powerhouse’s very own discovery, Dr. Phil.
In her acceptance speech, the brains behind America’s Next Top Model mentioned Winfrey frequently. “I want to thank Oprah Winfrey for her inspiration. She is the queen. She will always be the queen,” Banks praised the veteran host.
Other big winners of the night included Ellen DeGeneres, Rachel Ray, and Regis Philbin – receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 40 years of service to television. General Hospital took the Outstanding Drama Series award.
