The Jonas Brothers Continue to Storm the Entertainment Business
Thanks to teen sensations, the Jonas Brothers, Disney welcomed 8.9 million viewers to Camp Rock this Friday, according to Variety.
The movie also aired on ABC and ABC Family over the weekend, and is now available through Disney.com.
According to the statistic, Camp Rock has become cable's most-watched entertainment program of 2008. Although it did beat out the first Disney movie hit, High School Musical (7.7 million viewers), it did not come close to the movie's second installment, High School Musical 2, which debuted in August (17.3 million viewers).
The Jonas Brothers, who also have a new reality show that follows them through their world tour, remain at the top of the world for their Disney musical this year, but their spot could be squashed as Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, and Ashley Tisdale team up again to release High School Musical 3 this summer.
