Ellen DeGeneres Sets a Wedding Date

After winning her fourth consecutive Daytime Emmy award for talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres dished to reporters that she and her fiancee, Portia de Rossi, are planning their "dream wedding," reported FOXNews.com.

DeGeneres stated, "Yes, we have set a wedding date. How do I feel about it? I obviously feel like it's long overdue. I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don't all have the same rights."

The comedic talk show host said she plans to fly the de Rossi family in from Australia for the wedding and that "incredible people" would sing at the ceremony.

She also promised to show some of the footage from the ceremony on her talk show and jokingly said she would use her most recent Emmy to top the wedding cake.

"Planning a wedding is very stressful," said DeGeneres. "It's crazy. My gardener is now invited."
