“Sopranos” DVDs Full of Extras (Interesting Inside Information)

The extras discussed below are nowhere near all that will be included in the box set.
The Ultimate Sopranos DVD box set will be chocked full of interesting extras. The most appealing will undoubtedly be Alec Baldwin’s interview with series’ creator, David Chase.
In the interview, Chase addresses the fallout from the finale episode, and in this he reveals that he was surprised by how many people wanted to see Tony Soprano killed.
“They (the audience) wanted Tony Soprano’s head exploded like a cantaloupe,” he said.
Other extras include the following:
Uncle Junior could never actually see through his glasses. Paulie Walnuts wouldn’t ever let anybody touch his hair on the set. Edie Falco showed up to her audition in roller skates, and felt that she couldn’t play the role as an Italian housewife.
Chase discusses the eventual fates of Meadow and A. J. Soprano, concluding by admitting that he thought both Tony and Carmella “did a good job” as parents.
Also, Chase admits there was talks of a Sopranos “show within the show” with Dr. Melfi writing a book about Tony. He also discusses who was originally considered for the part of Tony Soprano (hint: he is on Without a Trace).
