Paris Hilton Speaks Out About Dog Controversy

Heiress Paris Hilton wrote in her MySpace blog that she would never “demand” a puppy as an accessory.
Heiress and star of MTV reality show I Wanna Be Paris’s New Best Friend, Paris Hilton is fighting back against rumors that she demanded a Yorkie puppy from a pet store on Melrose Avenue.
She wrote in her MySpace blog, according to People, “I read [that I was] walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot. I wasn’t looking for a new pet. I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly. I treat them as if they were my children.”
She continued to comment on how the stories written about her have gotten out of control, and that she felt it was “sad” that someone would say something like that about her.
The former Simple Life star has been all over the news lately for her relationship (and rumored pregnancy) with Benji Madden, twin brother of Joel Madden, father of Nicole Richie’s (Hilton’s former best friend) baby.
