Coldplay to Play on “The Daily Show” Wednesday Night
25-Jun-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

The show will air at 11 p.m. ET.

Coldplay will become the third band to ever appear on The Daily Show, following the likes of The White Stripes and Tom Waits.

The band, who has the number one single and CD in the U.K. and United States, will perform on the show tonight (Wednesday) at 11 p.m. ET.

If their performance has come and gone by the time you read this (which will be most, one would figure), don’t fret. Coldplay’s performance will appear on The Daily Show’s Web site (www.thedailyshow.com).

The performance will be in support of their album, Viva La Vida, and ahead of their North American tour. The tour was launched in the United States when the band put on a free concert in New York City’s Madison Square Garden earlier in the week.
